Kim grew up in Vancouver where she attended Simon Fraser University and received a Bachelor of Arts. She met her husband on vacation and moved to Alberta in 1996 with every intention of going into teaching. While living in Canmore, she started her career in optical and graduated from the NAIT optical program, receiving National Accreditation as a Licensed Optician in 2001. Kim has been with Cochrane Family Vision since opening in 2014. Throughout her career, Kim has worked with a variety of people. She sees herself as a member of an eye care team, along with the optometrist and patient, working together to fulfill the unique visual and health needs of each patient. Kim and her husband moved to Cochrane in 2002 to start and raise their family. She has two beautiful boys, ages 14 and 16. When not at work, you can find Kim at bootcamp, walking her dogs, on the ski hill, or on the rugby pitch with her boys.
