Kim grew up in Vancouver where she attended Simon Fraser University and received a Bachelor of Arts. She met her husband on vacation and moved to Alberta in 1996 with every intention of going into teaching.
While living in Canmore, she started her career in optical and graduated from the NAIT optical program, receiving National Accreditation as a Licensed Optician in 2001. Kim has been with Cochrane Family Vision since opening in 2014. Throughout her career, Kim has worked with a variety of people. She sees herself as a member of an eye care team, along with the optometrist and patient, working together to fulfill the unique visual and health needs of each patient.
Kim and her husband moved to Cochrane in 2002 to start and raise their family. She has two beautiful teenage boys. When not at work, you can find Kim at bootcamp, walking her dogs, on the ski hill, or on the rugby pitch with her boys.
Katrina is a born and raised Calgarian. She moved to Cochrane in 2010, changed careers from wedding and event planning to Optometric Assistant, and hasn’t looked back since.
Katrina has 9 years experience in the optical industry and is a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant. Katrina has been with Cochrane Family Vision since opening the doors in 2014. She loves providing great customer service and finding the perfect frame for her patients.
She can frequently be found at the pool or playground with her 3 year old boy Everett. Katrina loves to spend time outdoors with her family and her dog Roxie. Katrina is an avid crocheter and loves live music.
Megan was born and raised in Lloydminster, Alberta and relocated to Cochrane in 2012 with her family. She graduated from Robertson College in 2014 with a diploma in Medical Office Assistantship and became a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA) in 2019.
Megan worked in various medical and physiotherapy offices before joining Cochrane Family Vision in February 2017. As one of our Certified Optometric Assistants, Megan works in all aspects of our clinic. She loves the opportunity to meet each patient and make sure they receive the care they need before seeing the doctor. She enjoys exploring all the opportunities that have opened up while working in the eye care industry.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and young son, staying active at the gym, and enjoying the many outdoor activities (especially hiking and camping) that Cochrane has to offer.
Tegan was born in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and moved to Alberta in 2001. After growing up in Innisfail, Alberta, Tegan moved to Cochrane in 2013 and is now happy to call Cochrane home. Tegan has worked at Cochrane Family Vision since 2017 and became a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA) in 2019.
Tegan loves working with people especially seniors and children. In her spare time, Tegan enjoys taking in all the Cochrane festivities with husband and two young children. She is very family-oriented and loves being outdoors, at the Spray Lakes Rec Centre and Cochrane community parks.
Stacy was born and raised in Oromocto, New Brunswick; she made Cochrane her home in 2017. Stacy has been in the optical industry since 2013 and obtained her CCOA certificate in 2015. Stacy is our pretester and is also one of our best contact lens trainers. She loves meeting new people and enjoys working with seniors and kids.
Stacy is happy to be living closer to the mountains so she can enjoy more time outdoors with her husband and her two boys. If she’s not outside, you will find her rink side watching her son play hockey.
