Our Team

We are very excited about our exceptional, friendly staff and consider them to be a great asset! They are excited about what they do, and they care personally about getting the best results for our patients.


kim GSP UID 8e220f21 d310 4b16 8235 e524c975dcf6Kim grew up in Vancouver where she attended Simon Fraser University and received a Bachelor of Arts. She met her husband on vacation and moved to Alberta in 1996 with every intention of going into teaching. While living in Canmore, she started her career in optical and graduated from the NAIT optical program, receiving National Accreditation as a Licensed Optician in 2001. Kim has been with Cochrane Family Vision since opening in 2014. Throughout her career, Kim has worked with a variety of people. She sees herself as a member of an eye care team, along with the optometrist and patient, working together to fulfill the unique visual and health needs of each patient. Kim and her husband moved to Cochrane in 2002 to start and raise their family. She has two beautiful boys. When not at work, you can find Kim at bootcamp, walking her dogs, on the ski hill, or on the rugby pitch with her boys.


katrina GSP UID 8e220e38 9c8c 4d1d bf0f 0cdc0fb5ab50Katrina is a born and raised Calgarian. She moved to Cochrane in 2010, changed careers from wedding and event planning to Optometric Assistant, and hasn’t looked back since.

Katrina has 9 years experience in the optical industry and is a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant. Katrina has been with Cochrane Family Vision since opening the doors in 2014. She loves providing great customer service and finding the perfect frame for her patients.

She can frequently be found at the pool or playground with her son Everett. Katrina loves to spend time outdoors with her family and her dog Roxie. Katrina is an avid crocheter and loves live music.


Natalie grew up in Edmonton where she attended the University of Alberta and received her Bachelor of Arts. She moved to Airdrie in 2006 and began her career in the optical industry shortly after. She graduated from the NAIT Optical Sciences program in 2010 and has been a practicing licensed optician ever since. Natalie has been with Cochrane Family Vision since September 2014.

She is a big travel buff, and outside the office you can find her running along the trails or at home cooking and baking. Natalie is a recipient of the prestigious Calgary White Hat for customer service and looks forward to helping patients with their optical needs!


kara GSP UID 8e220f4b 663c 4daa b729 2de513db32f3Kara was raised in Water Valley, Alberta for part of her childhood and then moved to Calgary for the remainder where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Alberta College of Art and Design. While finishing up her degree, she started down the path of working as an Optometric Assistant.

With 6 years of optical experience, Kara is a Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant and has been a part of the team at Cochrane Family Vision since October 2016. Patient care is what she enjoys the most about her career. One of the most satisfying feelings for her comes from aiding someone to see the beautiful world around them better.

After getting married in Santorini, Greece in 2012, Kara and her husband made Cochrane home in 2015. She is an avid disc dog player and has travelled across Western Canada and into the USA to compete at an international level. In her spare time, you will find Kara outdoors with her dogs!


megan GSP UID 8e220f8d efb3 4de0 b953 f42062f87ea9Megan was born and raised in Lloydminster, Alberta and relocated to Cochrane in 2012 with her family. She graduated from Robertson College in 2014 with a diploma in Medical Office Assistantship. Megan worked in various medical and physiotherapy offices before joining Cochrane Family Vision in February 2017. As one of our Certified Optometric Assistants, Megan works in all aspects of our clinic. Megan loves the opportunity to meet each patient and make sure they receive the care they need before seeing the doctor. She enjoys exploring all the opportunities that have opened up while working in the eye care industry. In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, staying active at the gym, and enjoying the many outdoor activities (especially hiking and camping) that Cochrane has to offer.


tegan GSP UID 8e220f69 5671 4e49 8096 1aaaffd62e3dTegan was born in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and moved to Alberta in 2001. After growing up in Innisfail, Alberta, Tegan moved to Cochrane in 2013 and is now happy to call Cochrane home. Tegan has worked at Cochrane Family Vision since 2017. Tegan is a Certified Optometric Assistant, she loves working with people especially seniors and children. In her spare time, Tegan enjoys taking in all the Cochrane festivities with her son and husband. She is very family-oriented and loves being outdoors, at the Spray Lakes Rec Centre, and Cochrane community parks.


stacy GSP UID 8e2214da 98da 4d1b ad00 b97fc9927fc0Stacy was born and raised in Oromocto, New Brunswick; she made Cochrane her home in 2017. Stacy has been in the optical industry since 2013 and obtained her Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant (CCOA) certificate in 2015. She has worked with us at Cochrane Family Vision since May 2018.  She loves meeting new people and enjoys working with seniors and kids.

Stacy is happy to be living closer to the mountains so she can enjoy more time outdoors with her husband and two boys. If she’s not outside, you will find her rink side watching her son play hockey.

We are excited to announce that we are now open for routine eye exams and emergency eyecare needs!

We are currently reaching out to any patient that had to be rescheduled due to COVID-19 and are arranging appointments on a priority basis.  Thanks in advance for your patience as we navigate this new normal!  Our goal is to accommodate everyone as quickly as we can while maintaining the safety of our patients, team, and the community of Cochrane.
